Websites are very affordable; especially, DIY website templates offered by all the major hosting companies. These templates come as pre-existing page that you customize using your messaging and content. Many hosting companies also offer upscale versions that can be purchased in addition to the hosting plan.

Using a DIY website template typically involves selecting a design that matches your brand or goals, then customizing it through a user-friendly editor. You'll add your own text, images, logos, and contact information, and can rearrange or remove sections to fit your needs. Most platforms also offer drag-and-drop functionality, built-in tools for SEO, mobile responsiveness, and optional features like contact forms or online stores. While no coding is required, some time and thought go into choosing the right layout and crafting compelling content.

While DIY website templates offer convenience and affordability, they do have challenges that should be considered. One of the most difficult is content creation, especially copywriting because it is the most time-consuming and difficult part of building your own website. It requires planning, forethought and deliberation which includes lots of writing and re-writing. If you're short on time, lack copywriting experience, or simply don't enjoy the process, it can quickly become tedious and stressful. The other downside is the learning curve to master the platform’s editor. They advertise how easy it is, but in reality, there’s a lot to learn.
